The American Economic Association's Committee on the Status of Women in the Economics Profession (CSWEP) is pleased to announce our first Mentoring Breakfast for Junior Faculty in the Non-Doctoral Program at the 2019 Midwest Economic Association (MEA) Meetings in St. Louis, Missouri on Saturday, March 16, 2019, 8:00 am – 9:45 am at the Hyatt Regency St. Louis at The Arch. At these informal meet and greet events, senior economists will be on hand to provide mentoring and networking opportunities. Junior economists are invited to register (see the link below) and discuss topics such as publishing, research, teaching, grant writing, networking, job search, career paths, work-life balance and the tenure process. This mentoring experience is intended for junior female economists in the non-doctoral program who have completed their Ph.D. in the past 6 years. A light continental breakfast will be provided. The mentors are: Anne Winkler (University of Missouri, St. Louis), Katherine Silz-Carson (U.S. Air Force Academy, Colorado), and Kathy Krynski (Kenyon College, Ohio).   There is no fee.
