Introduction to Early Childhood Social and Emotional Health Locations: Saturday Classes: Harris Stowe State University, 10 N. Compton Ave., St.  Louis, MO 63103 Monday Classes: ARCHS, 539 N. Grand, St. Louis, MO 63103.  Enter on Washington.  Free parking is located in the lot next to the parking garage on Washington.  Metered parking is also available on the street at your expense. This training will give an introduction to social and emotional development and show how important what child care providers do every day is to the growth and development of the children in care. There are many different pieces to the puzzle when supporting a child’s social and emotional growth. Some of the pieces include supporting their brain development, understanding their temperament, assisting them to form attachment, understanding the social and emotional developmental milestones, and helping them build their emotion regulation skills.
